Gale Lambert - Daydreamer

Gale Lambert - Daydreamer, 2008
oil and acylic - 11 z 14 inches

I paint a lot of primates but have never painted the Orangutans ,this one had such a sweet face I couldn't resist.

Gale Lambert - Clouded Leopards

Gale Lambert - Clouded Leopards, 2006
oil - 24 x 30 inches

I didn't know much about clouded leopards, but when I read an article about them and it seemed to peak my interest more and more. It was fascinating so I painted them in their natural habitat.

Gale Lambert - It's Not Always Black & White

Gale Lambert - It's not always black or white
oOil and acrylic - 16 X 20 inches.

I love zebras and I thought the angle on this one gave it a lot of character; it was a last minute decision to add the colored stripes just to add more interest.

Gale Lambert - Tulipstop

Gale Lambert - Tulips, 2008
oil and acrylic - 16 x 20 inches

I am a floral designer by day, and this subject always interests me. I loved the ways the tulips sway in the wind and become transparent in the sunlight.

Gale Lambert - Here's Johnny

Gale Lambert, Here's Johnny, 2006,
oil - 24 X 41 inches.

I've always had a fasination with Johnny Deep's bone structure and have painted him many times. Finding this shot was a bonus with the angle it became the perfect subject matter.I never get tired of this one.

Gale Lambert -

Gale Lambert - Carribean Lillies,  2005
oil - 24 x 30 inches

This painting was a real challenge after painting the lilies I went back and painted many, many air bubbles laying under each lily pad it was a very peaceful process for me.
