I barely saw his pottery, but Lawrence P. Kastner's kites caught my eye and kept my attention during his recent show at The Front Room in Snider Plaza. White fabric like tea bags are made of. Sturdy. Craftfully taut, together with white on white cutouts and delicately rendered mandallas. The prices were fairly moderate when White Wind and Dark Earth showed. I only hope those who connected with their dream kites put them in the sky, not on walls.
